The momentum continues with the Hoffmann Family of Companies vision to revitalize the charm and history of Augusta, Missouri and make it into a destination rivaling the nation’s most prestigious wine regions. Karen Nye has joined the Hoffmann Family of Companies as Director of Events at Balducci Vineyards. Karen has called Augusta her home for the last 20 years and brings 10 years of experience as an event coordinator at Balducci Vineyards. She has orchestrated a variety of events in Augusta, Defiance and Hermann including weddings, rehearsal dinners and festivals, as well as corporate and fundraising events.
In addition to event planning, Karen has also explored alternate career paths within the retail and sales industries, but always found herself continually being drawn back to events. Karen is married to Dustin and they have three daughters. Her daughter MacKenzie, 28, also shares a history with Balducci Vineyards, working at the winery through high school as well as her initial years of college. Parker and Paige, both 22, have wonderful childhood memories getting off the bus stop from elementary school at Balducci Vineyards and exploring the beautiful property Karen enjoys cooking, biking and walking the Katy Trail, stain glass projects and drinking a glass of Augusta wine while watching sunsets on her front porch. Karen remains involved with the youth in her community and is celebrating her 10th year as a Young Life Leader serving students from Washington and Borgia High School.
Karen is excited Mr. Hoffmann sees Augusta as a “hidden gem.” She looks forward to joining the Hoffmann Family of Companies team and playing an integral role in the vision to restore the beauty and history of Augusta for others to experience.
