Florida Weekly is in need of an experienced and talented Graphic/Web Designer.
About the POSITION
The role of the Graphic/Web Designer is to design editorial pages for our newspapers, create print ads from concept through implementation, and graphic and marketing communication materials that consistently identify, drive and communicate the advertisers brand. This is to include the design of digital banner ads, and website design is a plus. Assist Creative Director and Production Manager with concept and design of all forms of graphic materials through teamwork of all graphic designers.
In partnership with the Creative Director, Production Manager, and Account Executives to concept, design and execute focused Graphic/Web design into digital and print advertising and page layout for our newspaper.
Design and develop new and innovative digital and print advertising for our advertisers.
Work with Account Executives to facilitate and implement advertising collateral.
Bachelor’s in Graphic/Web Design or related field.
Able to translate marketing strategies into clear, concise and appealing digital and print advertising.
Exceptional designer with typographic, design and production skills.
Strong verbal communication skills.
Strong knowledge of all phases and processes of print production from design to print and press ready art.
Strong computer skills and fluent in InDesign, PhotoShop and Illustrator at minimum.
Ability to work and adjust to a fast-paced deadline driven and changing work environment.
Minimum of 3-5 years experience in the field of Graphic/Web Design.
