The Hoffmann Family of Companies is currently recruiting for the position of Head Chef.
All food is cooked and prepared fresh on board. Looking for someone with creative ideas
and who can bring first class dining to the operation. Duties to include: performing daily
culinary responsibilities, preparing lunch and dinner cruises as well as private functions.
Must be able to manage timing, quantities and multiple tasks. Creativity is key, as it’s a
small space to work in. Looking for a leader who helps watch the company’s bottom line
in controlling food costs.
Must have the ability to prepare and cook food according to recipes and quality
standards, with the opportunity for some personal creativity to create menus year-round
for events held on the boat. Duties also include interacting with customers, bartending
and other front of the house duties as needed. This candidate is responsible for
organization of workflow in the kitchen and maintaining maximum efficiency while
controlling the budget. Responsible for hygiene and maintaining food standards in all
stages of food handling. Serv Safe certified is required.
Must be a self-starter, problem solver and work well with fellow team members. Position
is responsible for all aspects of the kitchen from start to finish. Ideal candidate is
someone friendly and personable with guests as guests like to interact with the chef as
part of the entire dining experience. Someone with enthusiasm, drive and passion for the
service industry. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to
successfully assist in managing the team in delivering outstanding service is essential to
Position reports directly to the GM. Candidate must pass pre-employment background
and drug screen and remain drug free as all employees are apart of the maritime
consortium and will be randomly tested throughout the year. Hours vary and include
days, evenings and holidays. Experience with food ordering, inventory and quality
control, experience with food vendors and minimum 2 years restaurant experience
